NEW: Walmart Supplier Sustainability Assessment Workshop, Sep 16

Walmart recently took an important step to encourage sustainability investments at its 60,000 suppliers with its Suppler Sustainability Assessment program. Initially, this is a set of 15 questions for which responses will be numerically scored (some suppliers need to respond by Oct 1). This new workshop on September 16 in Boston is a time- and cost-effective way for suppliers to gain confidence with their submittal and to calibrate investment levels of their sustainability programs in 2010.

The workshop supplements materials provided by Walmart, including information and guides provided in Retail Link and on Walmart's website. The workshop will be held the day prior to our Greening the Supply Chain Conference Sep 17 in Boston and includes a Q&A session with Walmart. Registration and agenda information is here.

Suppliers who are unable to attend will be able to call in for free to the Q&A session of the workshop.
